Pentium III computers:
A Pentium III CPU, 256 MB of Ram, 10.0 gigabyte hard drive, CD drive, sound card, 10/100 network adapter, 15 or 17" digital monitor (your choice), keyboard, mouse and necessary cables.
Most systems are 700 MHz to 1.0 GHz or better. When ordering computers for labs, we can probably furnish the same model to make it easier for tech support. We also allow you to set up one master computer, so that we can duplicate the remaining systems which will greatly lesson setup time. All software must be licensed for each computer.
The software loaded is licensed Windows2000Pro, Internet Explorer 6.0, Open Office 2.0 office suite set to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint defaults including Adobe Acrobat Exporter, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you need a larger hard drive, modem, speakers or other configurations, get in touch to see if we can accomodate your needs.
The cost per computer is $100.00. The systems comes with a 1 year warranty. We will repair or replace at our option any hardware or software when the system is returned to our facility. We do not ship.
The school is responsible for transportaion from our facility. If we are picking up new donations in your area, we will gladly deliver to your site at no charge.
HP Laserjet printers are available through our community partner, Chico Laser Savers. The HP authorized repair facility will clean, service and replace worn parts for a very low fee. The cost of refurbishing large lab printers such as HP4Si's may run a little higher if the fuser or other expensive parts need replacing. These printers are real work horses and are very cost effective for classroom use.

If you have classrooms with visually impaired students or need monitors for special use such as publishing classes, we can furnish larger monitors ie 19 to 21 inches at no additional cost.
We may have networking equipment available. Be sure to ask us for whatever you need. If we have it on hand you can often have it at no charge.
