How to order a system
- You must be a California resident.
- Make certain you qualify by checking the Qualification Letter.
- Pick out a system by visiting the Price Sheet.
- A $40 NON-refundable deposit will be processed by credit or debit card. The $40 deposit will go towards your final purchase order.
- Call at 530-895-4175 option 1 to initiate your order. Please give her your name, phone number, email, shipping address and program under which you qualify.
- Once the order is ready, we will call to process the remaining balance and release for shipment. UPS tracking information can be provided to you. Enclosed in your order you will find your paid invoice stapled to both your physical credit/debit card transaction receipts.
Who is eligible to purchase discounted PCs from Computers for Classrooms (CFC)?
Anyone who meets 1 of the 15 eligibility qualifications will be able to place an order with us. Click here to see which options you may qualify with! Please note that we sell computers for personal use and not for resale.
What if I don’t qualify to purchase a PC, but my child needs one for school?
For schools in California where over 75% of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch, we allow any family at the school to get a computer system from us – the entire school qualifies.
What makes the PCs sold at CFC a better value than the competitor’s offering?
Computers purchased from CFC include industry leading software such as Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, Microsoft Office Home and Business as well as other reputable freeware. We offer only vetted PC hardware with plenty of support. The software that’s included in all PCs loaded with Windows 10 Pro is valued at over $400 USD MSRP alone. Bulk-priced software from Microsoft allows us to transfer the savings to you!
What types of computers do you currently offer?
Trying our best to keep a consistent line up of PCs, we are currently selling mostly HP systems for the time being (click here to see our pricelist!). Check out our Facebook page to see how you’re able to get a special PC at a discounted rate. All computers for sale on Facebook are limited and sell quickly, so make sure to give us a call immediately if you’d like to purchase one. A Facebook account is not required in order to view what we currently have for sale.
Do I need anything else to start using my PC after purchasing it?
Everything is included! A complete PC will come with a monitor, the computer itself, a keyboard and pointing device. All required power and data cables are included, and all laptops will come with an AC adaptor. If you’re interested in a laptop but don’t like the trackpad, you’re able to request a wired mouse for an additional $5 when you place your order.
Am I able to purchase a PC if I don’t live in California?
Unfortunately, no. CFC is authorized to sell and ship PCs within the state of California. You’re able to use Microsoft’s directory of certified refurbishers to find similar organizations in your area in order to purchase a refurbished computer.
How long does it take to get my computer after purchasing?
All orders may be picked up from our office at 411 Otterson Dr #100, Chico, CA 95928. If your order is being shipped to you, it’s processed then sent via UPS Ground the same day; delivery time varies by location. We can include to include tracking information in your order confirmation as well.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We are able to take payment in the form of cash as well as from the following cards: American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa. We do not take checks, money orders or any other form of payment outside of cash and card. Please note that a non-refundable $40 deposit will be required to reserve a PC for purchase.
How secure is the payment process?
Security is of utmost importance; your payment information is never stored with Computers For Classrooms long term, and we confirm the transaction with you over the phone. Moments after being approved by our system, the card information is deleted in from our secure system.
Can I trade in my old PC?
Once your year warranty is up, you’re able to trade your old PC and purchase a new one at a discounted rate, but only if you return a desktop or Laptop computer purchased from CFC. We’ll be able to transfer your personal files to the new PC so you can get to work right away!
